Custom Blog Designs: barter

I love a good barter!

Robin & I have had a barter going for a few years now. I update her blog(s) and in turn I get some of her gorgeous clothing creations for my daughter. We both feel like we have the good end of a stick, so it's a win-win situation. I updated Robin's blog back in November with a look she absolutely loved. She wanted to stick with the seasonal tree in her header, so I just updated it with a spring look. I've had the privilege of meeting Robin in person and will be seeing her in a few weeks when my daughter & I have our annual girls weekend trip to Missouri!

Snowflakes for Liliana

Robin is a repeat client that I have a great barter going with. I do her blog design and she makes GORGEOUS custom clothing for my daughter. I just redesigned her main blog and created a matching new design for her Snowflakes for Liliana blog. Robin and her family will be traveling to China to adopt Liliana in a few months and she has this auction blog to raise the remaining funds for their adoption expense. I donated one of my OOAK premade designs to the auction. Check out her animated design and bid on some wonderful items!

Robin is one of my frequent clients who has me give her blog a new look several times a year. Here is the latest design that I just completed which reflects their lovely little Liliana who is waiting for them in China. You should check out Robin's gorgeous sewing creations. I got my moJO back!

I haven't posted in several days, but I have been keeping very busy. As you can see my design queue is getting longer. The current wait time to begin a new blog design is running about 7-9 days. I hate to make clients wait, but it's well worth it. Just ask Jo!

Jo won a blog makeover from me 13 months ago. She's enjoyed her design and even had me upgrade the design to 3 columns in March. She wanted to lighten up her blog and change to a different layout, so she came back for a redesign. This time she proposed a barter...which I am always willing to consider. In exchange for her fabulous new blog, she will be giving me a BIG discount on my son's senior portraits. In fact, my son will be getting his portraits done this spring and he will be a class rep for class of 2011 for her photography biz.
