Security 1st: Backing Up Posts

It's the first of the month which means it's time for my new Security 1st feature. This month we are focusing on backing up your posts. How would you feel if your blog disappeared? Would you be sad if you lost all your posts? Back them up on a regular basis and you won't have to worry about losing them. It's quite easy to do. Try it now!
1- Click on Settings
2- Click Export blog
3- DO NOT DELETE YOUR BLOG!!!!!!

This will back up all posts you have, not just today's posts. I recommend that you put the file into a folder and put it on a back up storage devise.

OK...how easy was that? You can also import blog posts (which you might want to do if you start a new blog and want to move posts over.) The Blogger Buzz has a more in depth post about exporting/importing posts. Check it out here.

About Diana

Hi! I am Diana Hansen, a self-described creative crafty mama. I'm a teacher by trade, but I left the classroom 12 years ago when I became a mom of 2. I've had a variety of at home jobs during that time, including remote customer service and running a sewing business.

After we adopted our third child, I discovered digital scrapbooking. I got the hang of it right away and started designing and selling templates, which I am now offering on this blog as freebies. After I had been doing that for about 6 months, I got contacted by a friend from one of my online adoption groups. She knew of my design skills from being webmaster of our adoption support group and from seeing my digital scrapbooking creations and asked me design her blog. Through much research and trial and error I learned out how to customize a blogger blog and Custom Blog Designs was born.

I love the creative outlet that designing blogs allows. My family continues to be my #1 priority, but I fit in designing, communicating with clients, and blogging in general into my daily routine.

About Custom Blog Designs

At Custom Blog Designs I will create a unique and personalized blog design or graphic to YOUR liking. No cookie cutter designs from me. Your blog will be one of a kind! During the design process I will keep in close communication and show you a proof of my work before it's made live on your blog. You can pay for your makeover via PayPal.

If you'd like me to create a new look for your blog, please email me and give me an idea of the look you would like the blog to look like. I will then present you with possible design options. Once the design products are picked, I'll get started on your makeover. The wait for a blog makeover usually runs 2+ weeks, although it's been longer than that lately. I will also need your blog log-in information so that I can make the changes. If you feel more comfortable you can invite me to be a contributor to your blog and give me admin rights if you don't want to share your log-in info.

I also do custom graphics, blog buttons, digital scrapbooking, and do adjustments to blogs. I can work these in quickly. Please email me for details.
