Someone I know from an online digital scrapbooking forum is doing the Susan G. Komen 3Day for a Cure in Denver this August. It's 60 miles over 3 days and she has to raise $2300 to participate.

She got together with other digital designers and created this awesome collab kit called pink=power. Many popular digital designers contributed to the kit. The proceeds for this kit will be donated via Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure to support walker Kristi Mahrt.

Andrea is starting a new blog on pregnancy and loss. I just gave it a custom look! Andrea was an AWESOME client to work with because she replied to emails immediately!

Weekend Work

I am still a few days behind, but I knocked out 4 clients this weekend.

Shannon is a three-peat client. I gave her family blog a new contemporary look. Kathy got several buttons and some adjustments to her blog.

Robin also got some template adjustments.

Paul & Helen had me make a cute animated header for their travel blog. They are on their way to Alaska now and we hope to meet up with them sometime this summer.

Catching Up

I've been juggling several clients lately. I get overwhelmed when I am so busy. I think I would do better to work on one client at a time and not move on to the next one until I am done...but I often wait on emails from clients so I need to jump around so I don't fall way behind. I've had several hours this afternoon to get lots of clients crossed off my list. I hope that frees up some time to email waiting clients this evening.

I just completed a new blog design for repeat client Dimari. She's been waiting to adopt from China and recently accepted a referral of an adorable little boy. So her blog went from Ladybugs & Dragonflies to Cowboys & Dragonflies.I also worked with Susan, whose blog I did in February. She wants to update her blog seasonally. She did nearly all the designing this time and I did all the installation and link updates. Head on over to Blackberry Cottage and leave Susan some luv for doing a great job on her own design!!I also created some banners & buttons for upcoming blog events for Kelli of 3 Boys & a Dog, updated Meghan's header with new ultrasound pics, and created a graphic for Color Me Home to print on tshirts. The Countdown has Begun!!

Our family is taking a HUGE trip this summer and I will be taking part of June and all of July off work. I am going to slow down my work load over the next few weeks so that I have time to prepare for our trip. Take a look at my design queue and you will see that there are 8 open slots between now and when we leave. A Ladybug's Legacy

Nikki contacted me last week to say that the child they were about to adopt had passed away. She wanted to quickly put together a charity blog in McKenna's name that collected donations for Grace and Hope, which is group on China that finds foster families for Chinese orphans. They want to create a legacy in McKenna's name. I was able to design this for her family. Visit A Ladybug's Legacy for more information about Grace and Hope.

A Sweet Sister

AM contacted me to create a blog design for her (private) blog about her sister that is going to be adopted from China soon. What a sweet sister!

Some Updates

Jodi had me update her blog with a new look. She had a graphic designer create the logo & header and I did the install and updated all the links.Pat who was a client from a long time ago contacted me to say that they had received their adoption referral. I was THRILLED to be one of the first to see the photos of her daughter and to update her blog. I offer a free photo update for events such as adoption referral or a birth. That is one of my favorite parts of this business!! Congrats to Pat & John!

More Red Thread

I've been juggling 5 clients this weekend. I've completed Robin's new look for her Red Thread Stitches blog. They are adopting again and are starting another fundraiser.

No Internet

Yesterday I have very SLOW internet access...both at home and at the library. Not sure what the library's problem was, but DH discovered that our router was dying. I bought a new one this morning and he just came home for lunch install.

So what did I do with no internet access? I redesigned my Diana Rambles blog. I use the same template each time so I just needed to change the design. I did all the designing offline and then just installed. I think it came out pretty good for not testing it out first!! The design is similar to our vacation blog. I had wanted to do something springy and then change it again before our trip...but I just went for the vacation look now. I am sure I'll be REALLY sick of it by August. Like the spinning tires on the RV?

My Blogs

I've been wanting to update some of our blogs for a while, but it's hard to take the time when you have clients waiting. My daughter's blog got a cute new design~I also gave our (impending) vacation blog a fun look with an animated header~
My personal blog is in need of a new look, but you know how moms are...they always put themselves last!!

IMAGINE x 2

I've not work much this week as I've been busy planning our summer vacation. I did get 3 makeovers done for Kristi. She was referred to me by Kimberly, who will get two $5 referral coupons.

The first blog was the IMAGINE Home Life blog. I gave it a new beautiful ethnic look.The other blog is the IMAGINE the Journey blog. Since this will be managed by her hubby, I went with a very masculine theme with an ancient map and a compass. I made the background behind the posts & sidebar transparent so the map background shows.
